<p>The purpose of the present invention is to provide a switch liquid crystal panel having a novel structure wherein a light emitting region is prevented from being seen at a light transmitting section area close to the boundary to a light blocking section, and a display device. The switch liquid crystal panel is provided with: a pair of substrates (26a, 26b), which are disposed to sandwich a twisted nematic liquid crystal layer (24); and a plurality of light blocking section forming electrodes (30), which are formed on at least one of the pair of substrates (26a, 26b), and which form the light blocking section (40) of the parallax barrier (16) in cooperation with the counter electrode (34) when a voltage is applied, said counter electrode being disposed to face the light blocking section forming electrodes with the liquid crystal layer (24) therebetween. The rubbing direction of an alignment film (36a) forms an angle of 45 degrees or smaller with the longitudinal direction of the light blocking section forming electrodes (30), said alignment film being provided on the substrate (26a) side where the light blocking section forming electrodes (30) are formed.</p> |
