<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery pack capable of coping with a high output and high capacity specification, and restraining over-charge. <P>SOLUTION: A battery pack 10 is constituted by serially connecting plural main cells 101 and at least one reference cell 100 that are at least two kinds of plural lithium ion secondary batteries. The main cells 101 have positive electrodes having an active material containing Ni, Co or Mn, or at least two of them, negative electrodes containing graphite, soft carbon, hard carbon, titanium oxide, a silicon alloy or a tin alloy, or at least two of them, and nonaqueous electrolytes.
