<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC-AC converter which can suppress overcurrent and overvoltage associated with a specific transient event. <P>SOLUTION: A power conversion system 10 includes: a DC bus 146 for receiving DC power; a line side converter 144 electrically coupled to the DC bus 146 for converting the DC power to AC power; and a line side controller 164 to provide control signals to enable the line side converter 144 to regulate the AC power. The line side controller 164 further comprises a current limiter 230 to, during a transient event, limit the control signals on the basis at least in part of an electrical current threshold.
