<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic apparatus, a microcontroller, and methods for controlling the electronic apparatus and microcontroller, in which a memory interface unit on the controller side is powered off in a low power mode to achieve the low power mode. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic apparatus includes: a main memory operating in a self-refresh mode when a normal mode changes to a low power mode; a memory controller unit which outputs a preset signal which is to cancel the self-refresh mode when the low power mode changes to the normal mode; a memory interface unit which transmits the preset signal output from the memory controller unit to the main memory; and a signal detection unit which detects whether the preset signal has been output. Here, the memory controller unit powers off the memory interface unit when the normal mode changes to the low power mode and powers on the memory interface unit if the low power mode changes to the normal mode, and the output of the preset signal is detected by the signal detection unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
