摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a lower cost, high efficiency, and reduction in height for an optical communication module. <P>SOLUTION: An optical communication module includes an optical transmission part 10, an optical reception part 20, and an optical transmission path. The optical transmission path includes a multi-core optical fiber 31 and a single core optical fiber 32 which has a smaller core diameter than a whole core diameter summing that of the fiber 31. The multi-core optical fiber 31 and the single core optical fiber 32 are connected by a diameter conversion connector 33 to each other.
