PURPOSE: A testing method of a partial discharge detector using a three-dimensional pattern is provided to secure the reliability of the partial discharge detector by generating a three-dimensional pattern signal and to improve the promptness and accuracy of the test. CONSTITUTION: A pre-stored PD type is selected(S201). Configuration data called a profile of the selected PD type is loaded to a RAM(S202). A signal generation time period of the selected PD is set(S203). A PD starting stage for signal generation start or waiting is progressed(S204). Synchronization for an internal or external system AC signal and synchronization is detected(S209). A PD type pulse is generated(S212). The end of a time period is determined(S213). When the time period is finished, the end of one cycle is determined(S214).
