PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dental curable composition capable of reducing polymerization shrinkage stress generated during polymerization curing even when a type of a filler to be compounded is one type and giving a cured product having a favorable mechanical strength.

SOLUTION: The dental curable composition contains: (A) a polymerizable monomer; (B) a coated inorganic particle wherein a surface of a metal halide particle is coated by a film of a metal oxide; and (C) a polymerization initiator.
