<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording device capable of preventing the contamination of a sheet caused by an ink, even if the ink adheres to a member which is arranged at a carriage and can contact with the sheet. <P>SOLUTION: The inkjet recording device comprises: the movable carriage 38; a recording head which is arranged at the lower face side of the carriage 38 and discharges an ink droplet to the recording sheet 19; a pair of rollers 61, 62 which are arranged at the lower face side of the carriage 38 so as to sandwich the recording head and positioned between the recording head and the transported recording sheet 19 at their ends; a forming means which forms a pattern P for making the recording head discharge the ink droplet and warping the recording sheet 19 so that a pair of the rollers 61, 62 may abut on the recording sheet 19; and a first control means which moves the carriage 38 after the pattern P is formed, and cleans roller faces of a pair of the rollers 61, 62.
