The relay (13) has lifting magnets arranged in a housing (20), and a damping element cooperating with the lifting magnets. The damping element dampens a movement stop of an anchor unit of the lifting magnets. The damping element is arranged in a region of a drive bearing of the relay between the housing and the anchor unit. The damping element is arranged at the housing and/or the anchor unit. The damping element is attached at a drive-side end shield (21) of the relay adjacent to the lifting magnets. The damping element is formed as a composite element and a pulse damper.
