The method involves increasing the normal force directed downward to a track on one front wheel (2) of a vehicle (1) for a normal force time interval before commencing the point of time of the to-be-expected collision. The braking force is increased for a braking force time interval that is started before the point of time of the collision and is overlapped with the normal force time interval, and is exerted on the front wheel. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) brake system in vehicle; and (2) vehicle.
