A method for managing recorded broadcasting program in a video recording apparatus is provided to prevent a storage space from being wasted due to the recording of an undesired broadcasting program in the front and rear portions of the storage space when a reserved broadcasting program is recorded. A reserved broadcasting program is received and recorded in a storage medium based on set reservation recording information stored in a memory(S205). It is determined if unnecessary data are included in the broadcasting program(S230). The unnecessary data are deleted if the broadcasting program has the unnecessary data. The deletion of the unnecessary data is performed when a user requests that broadcasting programs recorded in the storage medium are automatically managed. |
