PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio apparatus 2 for WiMAX that prevents spurious radiation caused by abnormal data outside a TDD transmission area. SOLUTION: In the radio apparatus 2 for WiMAX, the radio apparatus 2 is connected with a radio control part 1 by two or more high-speed serial transmission lines. A CPRI or an OBSAI is adopted for the interface standard. The radio apparatus has a function for transmitting and receiving an OFDMA symbol by a TDD system. The radio apparatus includes a means that detects an Indicator for specifying the head of a U-Plane included in a received signal transmitted from the radio control part 1 and replaces data outside the TDD transmission area in the U-Plane included in the received signal with zero data on the basis of a TDD ratio.
