1282758 Packaging apparatus BENZ & HILGERS GmbH 3 Dec 1969 [11 Jan 1969] 58994/69 Heading B8C In a packaging apparatus a plunger 5 pushes a blank through a folding chamber 4 to form an open shell 6 which is inserted in a cell 2, then filled with butter, and closed by down-folding of the tops of the shell-walls, the folding being facilitated by score lines produced in the shell 6 by scoring plates 17 carried by the plunger 5. The plates 17 are carried on the arms 14b of angle levers pivoted at 15 to lugs 13 formed on a hollow shaft 9 carried by the plunger, the other arms 14a of the angle levers being received in a groove 12 formed in a member 10 received in the shaft 9 and urged downwardly by a spring 11. The inner wall of the cell 2 is provided with a groove 18 for receiving the scoring plates 17, and the cell-bottom 3 is reciprocated by a rod 3a. In operation, the member 10 abuts the cell-bottom 3 and is lifted to move the scoring plates 17 against the shell 6. |
