PURPOSE: An optical fiber fusion splicer having an inspection function is provided to perform an optical fiber splicing test with one device. CONSTITUTION: An adaptor(180) is connected with an input part of an optical fiber having a splicing part spliced by an optical fiber splicer and receives light from an output part. A control unit(140) is connected with the adaptor and calculates the optical insertion loss by the ratio of the intensity of the output part of the optical fiber to the intensity of the input part of the optical fiber. A monitor(150) is connected to the control unit and displays the optical insertion loss.
