METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TRANSMITTING DATA IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM WITH MULTIPLE CARRIER

PURPOSE: A data transmission method using multiple carriers in a mobile communications system capable of increasing the reverse transmission speed of a terminal and an apparatus thereof are provided to transmit data using more than one reverse carrier. CONSTITUTION: A base station determines the additional setting of a SCell(Secondary Cell) about a terminal. The base station transmits an RRC(Connection Reconfiguration) message(1015). The base station activates the SCell(1020). The base station transmits a PDCCH(Physical Downlink Control Channel) order indicating the execution of random access to the terminal(1025). The terminal and the base station perform a random access process such as transmitting a preamble and receiving a random access response(1030). The terminal deactivates SCell3 according to the reception of active and non-active MAC(Media Access Control) CE(Control Element)(1035). The terminal sets up a new DL(Downlink) timing reference SCell by selecting a cell which is currently in an active state among SCells belonging to a TAG(Timing Advance Group)(1040).
