<p>PURPOSE: A touch screen-based character input device is provided to quickly input Korean and minimize a motion of a finger by fixing three columns of a keyboard arrangement, arranging function keys on the bottom of the keyboard arrangement, and arranging a character converting key on a second column of the keyboard arrangement. CONSTITUTION: A keyboard arrangement is composed of 4 columns x N rows and Korean consonants are arranged from the leftmost row of the first, second, and third columns of the keyboard arrangement to a specific row. Korean vowels are arranged from the specific row or next to a specific row to an N row. A function key is arranged in a fourth column of the keyboard arrangement. A character converting key is arranged in a keyboard among keys arranged in the second column.</p> |
