A fusing unit of an image forming apparatus is provided to reduce damage to a heating roller and a guide claw by reducing a contact time between the heating roller and the guide claw, thereby lengthening the life of components and stabilizing image quality. A heating roller(11) and a pressing roller(12) are relatively rotated as being engaged with each other, and perform thermo-compression of a toner image. A guide claw(13) is prepared so that its front end can be contacted with the heating roller, and preventing a front end of a sheet passing through the heating roller from being attached to the heating roller. A sensor lever(15) is installed to be contacted with the sheet on a sheet discharge path of the rear of the heating roller and rotated. A spacing unit(21) spaces the front end of the guide claw from the heating roller by being interworked with the rotation of the sensor lever. |
