<p>PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device and a driving method the same are provided to activate or inactivate a DC power unit according to the load of a backlight unit. CONSTITUTION: A panel driving unit operates a liquid crystal panel. Light emitting sources provide light to the liquid crystal panel. Driving transistors operate the light emitting sources. A transistor driving unit(150) controls the driving transistors. A DC power unit(120) supplies DC power to the light emitting sources. A power control unit(130) activates or inactivates the output of the DC power by driving the DC power unit.</p> |
