<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tank supporting buffer member allowing easy and sure work of sticking a buffer member interposed between a tank and a strip-shaped member on the strip-shaped member. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The buffer member 20 interposed between the tank and the strip-shaped member 10 includes: first opposed notched portions 21 and 21 which have a width Wb greater than the width Wa of the strip-shaped member 10, which are isolated by a first distance Da in a longitudinal direction from at least one end surface, and which are almost equally notched inward from both side surfaces up to a predetermined position Pa corresponding to the width of the strip-shaped member; and second opposed notched portions 22 and 22 which are almost equally notched inward from both side surfaces up to a position corresponding to the width of the strip-shaped member, over a predetermined range Dc isolated by a second distance Db or above in a longitudinal direction from a predetermined position.
