Method and device for reducing the quantity of pollutants in exhaust gases

The method involves introducing the exhaust gas into a catalyst converter to which a catalytic amount of reducing agent is supplied. The amount of pollutants at the outlet of the catalytic converter is measured. The amount of pollutants is set to a desired value less than one to be maintained limit when the supplied amount of reducing agent is varied. The amount of pollutants as a function of regularly determined time averages is adjusted such that half-hour or quarter-hour averages of the measured amounts of pollutants are regulated dynamically. An independent claim is included for device for controlling amount of nitrogen oxides in flue gas of coal power plant.
