PURPOSE: An emergency stop device is provided to safely stop a car by using a breaking apparatus and improve working conditions for elevator installation. CONSTITUTION: A braking part(130) and a guide rail restrict the movement of a car(110). A manipulation part(140) is connected to the braking part and provides braking force to the braking part. A braking maintenance part(160) includes a weight plumb connected to an operating chip(146).
