Disclosed is a polypeptide that is useful for developing a reagent and a medicine which are preferable in an application for prevention and treatment of ischemic diseases like those due to arteriosclerosis. The polypeptide comprising the amino acid sequence set out in SEQ ID. NO:1 as a part thereof, and thier expression level is increased in blood vessel of mammal which are recovered from ischemic condition by reperfusion of blood.
