PURPOSE: A 3D glasses and an operation method thereof are provided to reduce power consumption and heating by simplifying an IC(Integrated Chip) structure by reducing the number of the IC. CONSTITUTION: A glasses(410) includes a first operating unit(500), a second operating unit(510_1), a storage unit(510_2), and a lens unit(520). The first operating unit outputs a timing signal by generating the timing signal by using a synchronization signal received from an image display device. The second operating unit outputs voltages by using the timing signal. The storage unit outputs stored information by storing the information for pairing and the image display device. The lens unit includes a left eye glasses and a right eye glasses and executes on or off operation according to the output voltage of the second operating unit.
