PURPOSE: A filter for a display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to reduce a manufacturing cost and improve durability through process simplification. CONSTITUTION: A filter(100) for a display device includes a transparent substrate(110), a first coating film(120), and a second coating film(130). The first coating film is formed on the transparent substrate and adds a material for color compensation. The second coating film is formed on the first coating film by radiant heat of the transparent substrate and adds a near infrared ray absorbing material.
