Ducting mould core - made of tapered segments for removal from a constant section hollow profile

Hollow tapered profiles are sized to mate head to tail and side by side to form a mould core for producing plastic ducts having a regular cross-section. Pref. the ends of the profile have an axial handle to assist manipulation and method is esp. for mfg. ventilation ducting in long lengths. Each component profile has pronounced tapers which allow some of the profiles to be readily withdrawn to allow easy removal of the core from within a hollow profile. Eliminates need for taper on the product ducting and difficulties associated with removing a unitary mandrel from within a long hollow profile.
