The padlock 10 comprises a housing 12, 14, a shackle 32 and a combination code core comprising a lock body, a spindle, a locking ball and at least one of each of a dial 83 and a clutch. An actuation mechanism may be coupled to the shackle to permit movement between open and closed configurations. The mechanism may comprise a button portion with protrusion 36, the housing having a slot dimensioned to receive and guide the protrusion. The mechanism may comprise a screw button threadedly engaged with a hole in the button portion or alternatively may comprise a gripping area formed on the shackle. The combination code for the padlock may be reset when the shackle is in the open position, and the shackle may further comprise a reset hole dimensioned to receive the screw button in order to permit further actuation of the shackle from the open position to a reset position. |
