Crack penetration is provided with local embrittlement of the specimen by applying a restricted amount of liquid metal fusion to its surface in the required place.EFFECT: simplifying the crack initiation technology, creation of cracks, with parameters similar to parameters of cracks formed in structural alloys during their operation; avoiding undesirable change of mechanical characteristics in metal zone behind the initiated crack, which can distort the test results.1 dwg
