PURPOSE: An ice making unit is provided to reduce unnecessary power waste by recycling melting rate in an ice storage house without using an extra pump. CONSTITUTION: An ice making unit comprises an ice making machine(20), an ice storage house(8), and a cold water tank(30). The ice making machine cools water or melts ice. The ice storage house is located on the lower side of the ice making machine. The ice storage house stores the ice made in the ice making machine. The ice storage house includes a water discharge passage(8a) in the bottom. The water discharge passage discharges the melting rate generated from the ice in the ice storage house. The cold water tank is located in the lower side of the ice storage house. The ice storage house stores both the melting rate and the water cooled by the ice making machine.
