PURPOSE: A microwave oven is provided to replace a stirrer according to the content of food and a cooking container, thereby effectively stirring the food according to the kind of the food and easily removing the temperature variation of the food. CONSTITUTION: A microwave oven(1) comprises a cavity(10), a length variation part(20), and a stirrer(30). The cavity has a cooking chamber(11). The length variation part is rotatably installed in a support(13) which is installed on the upper side of the cooking chamber. The length of the length variation part is variable in the upper and the lower direction of the cooking chamber. The stirrer is included in the end portion of the length variation part, and stirs food in a cooking container. The length variation part includes a connecting member and a extending member(22). The connecting member is coupled to a support by a hinge, and is rotatably installed in the lateral direction of the support. The extending member is placed inside the connecting member, and is led in and out inside the connecting member. The support is coupled to the upper side of the cooking chamber with a ball bearing so that the support rotates at 360 degrees inside the cooking chamber. A lead-in groove, into which the stirrer is detachably inserted, is formed on the end portion of the extending member.
