PURPOSE: A washing machine and a driving device for the washing machine are provided to arrange a switching gear in a stator by combining a clutch and a motor. CONSTITUTION: A rotor(200) electromagnetically interacts with a stator(300). A clutch(400) selectively delivers rotator power of the rotor to a rotary tub and a pulsator. The stator includes a stator core, an upper insulator, and a lower insulator. A mounting unit of the upper insulator is protruded to an upper side of the clutch so that the clutch is combined with the upper insulator.
