The security barrier comprises first and second fence each fence comprising a respective set of fence posts 22, 42 the fence posts being coupled together buried beneath under ground level. The fence posts are coupled together, preferably in a concrete footing 50, using two preformed socket channels 53 which are preferably of different dimensions. The posts may be coupled by additional means, such as bolts 57 and spacers 55, within the said footing. The fence is an antipersonnel fence designed to mitigate the effect of a vehicle impacting it. The second fence may comprise a series of ropes or wires supported by the second set of posts. The first fence may be an anti personnel fence configured to prevent access by a person and the second fence may be a vehicle mitigating fence configured to withstand impact from a vehicle, in the event of an impact the second of the pair of fences impacts the first. |
