PURPOSE: A crosswalk blocking system is provided to supply extremely safe surroundings of a crosswalk by observing the surroundings of the crosswalk in order to block road in pedestrians signal. CONSTITUTION: A crosswalk blocking system comprises a blocking post(50), a blocking bar(40), a backside post(60), a traffic signal control unit, a blocking bar control unit, and a main control server. The blocking post is installed a sidewalk(20) adjacent to a roadway(10) in which a crosswalk(12) is generated and includes a vehicle distance detection sensor(52) and a display panel(54) in the upper part. The blocking bar is installed by being enabled to swing in the upper part of the blocking post and includes an object detection sensor(42) and an impact detection sensor(44) in the end part. The backside post is installed in the back of the blocking post and includes a camera(62) and a warning light(64). The traffic signal control unit controls driving of a traffic signal nearby crosswalk. The blocking bar control unit controls the driving of the blocking bar according to the main control server.
