PURPOSE: An activity measurement method for an electrode of a fuel cell is provided to quantitatively measure the electrode activity of a cell unit in a condition same as the rear operation condition of the fuel cell. CONSTITUTION: An activity measurement method for an electrode of a fuel cell comprises: a step of feeding hydrogen and air to the anode and cathode of a fuel cell(10) through a separating plate; a step of gradually applying voltage to the fuel cell from the power supply during the supply of the reaction gas; a step of measuring current generated from the cell by using a current measurement apparatus(22) whether; and a step of deriving voltage applied by the power supply apparatus(21) and a Tafel slope from the current which is measured by a current measurement apparatus.
