PURPOSE: A caption manufacturing apparatus and a method of the same are provided to put captions of a real-time program based on caption files which are already saved for enabling viewers to see fewer typing errors on the captions. CONSTITUTION: A caption file storage unit(140) saves data of captions from a broadcast program as a file. A caption data input unit(120) receives the data of captions from a real-time program. A caption data search unit(150) searches for some data including a sentence including the data from the real-time program in the file. A control unit(110) controls searched sentences, and displays the searched sentences. The control unit selects the right sentences, and put the sentences on the program as the captions.
