PURPOSE: A door lock unlocking apparatus and a method thereof using numbers or a graphic keypad are provided to strengthen safety and security of a door lock, and to effectively perform door lock security certification. CONSTITUTION: An object selecting module(101) selects a predetermined object based on a user key operation, among many objects on a keypad with numbers or graphics by following a user input order. An object and order determining module(102) determines whether numbers on keypad moved to set coordinates toward the setting direction from each selected object or graphic object match user setting numbers or graphic numbers, and whether a plurality of objects selection order match the coming out order of the numbers by moving or the setting order of the graphic objects. If determination result shows identical order with two objects, a door lock locking/unlocking module(103) release the door lock and if not, the door lock locking/unlocking module locks the door lock.
