PURPOSE: An automatic pressure equalizing device is provided to automatically equalize pressure at the fluid inlet and cavity of a valve when the flow direction of fluid is changed in the valve. CONSTITUTION: An automatic pressure equalizing device comprises a body, a plunger, a plunger supporter, a plurality of disk springs, a seal bonnet, a pressure seal, a ring, and a tightening stopper. The body induces pressure equilibrium between a first pipe(12) or a second pipe(13) and a cavity(14). The plunger, having protrusions on both ends thereof, is provided in a through hole and moved by pressure from side to side. The plunger supporter comprises receiving grooves in which the protrusions are accepted and make linear contacts and restricts the movement of the plunger. The disk springs provides compressive force. An outwardly inclined step is formed on the inner side of the seal bonnet. The pressure chamber is fitted to the seal bonnet in order to enhance a sealing force. The ring supports the pressure chamber. The tightening stopper finishes both ends of the through hole with pressure. |
