A flooring material comprises a core layer (2) of resilient granular agglomerate and a membrane (3) that envelops the aforesaid core layer (2). In a preferred way, the material (1) is in the form of modules, such as strips or tiles and the membrane (3) forms, on at least one side of the modules, a selvage (5), which can be applied in a relationship of overlapping with at least one adjacent module.
