PURPOSE: An image display device and an operation method thereof are provided to easily recognize input from multiple remote control devices by setting a part of multiple subfields as a first scan subfield and setting the other part of the multiple subfields as a second scan subfield. CONSTITUTION: A paring signal is received from a first remote control device(S1310). A paring response signal is transmitted to a first paring device(S1315). At least one subfield is set as a first scan subfield and the other subfield is set as a first display subfield(S1320). A first image is displayed according to the first display subfield(S1325). The first subfield within a unit frame is reset(S1330). An image is displayed based on the movement of the first remote control device(S1335).
