摘要 1332192 Aminoacids by fermentation AJINOMOTO CO Inc 26 Oct 1970 [27 Oct 1969] 50734/70 Heading C2C [Also in Divisions B1 and C6] In the production of, e.g. amino acids, by aerobic cultivation of a micro-organism in a liquid culture medium, quantitative amounts of the liquid culture medium are sampled continuously, the samples are heated to vaporize volatile compounds therein, the amount of the carbon source in the vaporized compounds is analysed by hydrogen flame ionization and there is fed to the culture medium a necessary amount of the carbon source which is determined on the basis of the hydrogen flame ionization analysis to maintain the concentration of the carbon source in the culture medium within a predetermined range. Examples are directed to the fermentation of acetic acid or ethanol (regulated carbon sorcen) by Brevibacterium lactofermentum to produce L-glutamic acid, and to the fermentation of acetic acid (regulated carbon source) by Brevibacterium flavum to produce L-lysine. A further example discloses cultivating Erwinia herbicola in a liquid culture medium containing L-tyrosine and transferring a small quantity of the cultured broth, which contains #-tyrosinase, into a mixture comprising catechol (regulated carbon source) and serine. L-dihydroxyphenylalanine was produced.
