TERMINAL USING THE DOTTED HANGEUL SYSTEM FOR EXTENSION OF KOREAN ALPHABET AND CHARACTER INPUT CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A terminal using a side dot scripted Hangul system for Hangul letter expansion and a character input control method thereof are provided to write a foreign language as Hangul with a simple method and simply convert the foreign language written as Hangul into the foreign language. CONSTITUTION: A storage unit(400) includes a Hangul character string including a side dot and Hangul characters corresponding alphabets or Hangul characters including the side dot and an audio file about the Hangul character string including the side dot. A control unit(200) displays characters inputted in an input unit(100) on a display unit(300). The input unit includes a function key for selecting side dot input. The control unit displays the characters displaying the side dot on the display unit in response to the input of the function key. The side dot is located within a predetermined distance from the characters and displayed by syllable units. If the function key and a character key is pressed at the same time, the control unit displays the characters displaying the side dot corresponding to the character key on the display unit.
