<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict reduction in encoding efficiency and also cut down encoding and decoding arithmetic loads as compared with a conventional intra-divided image encoding method. <P>SOLUTION: A divided image generation unit 11 divides an input image to be encoded into blocks of the same size, collects pixels whose relative positions are the same in each block, and generates divided images of the same size respectively. For some of the divided images, an intra-divided image encoding unit 12 encodes them in-image. In order to encode other divided images to be encoded, a reference image selection unit 13 selects already encoded divided images whose pixel positions in the original image are near as reference images. A divided image interval prediction encoding unit 14 generates prediction images by using the selected reference images, and encodes the divided images to be encoded by means of divided image interval prediction in units of a divided images. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
