<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen generation system that can produce hydrogen from formic acid continuously and at a low cost, in the presence of an ionic liquid that is repeatedly usable. <P>SOLUTION: The hydrogen generation system includes a hydrogen production reaction section that accommodates mixed liquid of formic acid and ionic liquid, and decomposes the formic acid in the mixed liquid of formic acid and ionic liquid into hydrogen and carbon dioxide under heating, and a separation section that can separate the mixture of hydrogen and carbon dioxide that are provided from the hydrogen production reaction section into hydrogen and carbon dioxide, and is characterized by being composed so as to deliver hydrogen after the separation treatment from the separation section to an outside hydrogen delivery destination, and deliver carbon dioxide from the separation section to the outside carbon dioxide delivery destination or discharge it into the atmosphere. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
