IMAGING APPARATUS AND ADAPTER UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus for capturing a right-eye image and a left-eye image by a simple constitution.

SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus comprises: an imaging device; a lens for forming an image of a subject on the light-receiving surface of the imaging device; a polarizing filter which differently polarizes right light to pass through the right side of the lens and left light to pass through the left side of the lens; a polarizer which allows the right light and left light having passed through the lens to enter and emits the right and left lights while shifting one of them relatively with respect to the other; and a barrier which comprises transmission sections which allow the light to enter the polarizer to pass therethrough and shielding units for shielding the light entering the polarizer, the transmission sections and shielding sections being arranged alternately with a pitch corresponding to the light shift quantity of the polarizer in a direction that the polarizer shifts light.
