<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate remainder of ink in each of caps even if ink in each of the caps that protect a recording head is suctioned by a common suction pump. <P>SOLUTION: The inkjet recording apparatus includes: two or more recording heads that eject ink from a nozzle to form an image on a sheet; a cap 118 that covers each of the recording heads and accumulates ink of the recording head; a discharge valve 141 having a valve seat 142 and a valve body 143 that can discharge ink accumulated in the cap and in which the attachment and detachment are possible; a stick spring 122 that makes the valve body and the valve seat of each discharge valve contact together and biases them in a direction to occlude the discharge valve; and a suction pump that suctions the ink i in the cap, wherein when the ink in the cap is ejected by the suction of the suction pump, the resistance of the ink that lies between the valve seat and the valve body resists the biasing force of the sticking spring and releasably holds the valve seat and the valve body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
