<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method producible of a carboxylic acid ester from an aldehyde. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing a carboxylic acid ester includes: a step of oxidizing an aldehyde by mixing an alcohol, carbon dioxide, the aldehyde and at least one compound selected from the group composed of compounds represented by formulae (2-1) and (2-2): wherein R<SP POS="POST">2</SP>represents an alkyl group optionally having a substituent or the like; R<SP POS="POST">3</SP>and R<SP POS="POST">4</SP>each independently represents an alkyl group optionally having a substituent or the like, or R<SP POS="POST">3</SP>and R<SP POS="POST">4</SP>are linked together to form a divalent hydrocarbon group optionally having a substituent or the like; Y represents a group of -S- or a group of -N(R<SP POS="POST">5</SP>)-, wherein R<SP POS="POST">5</SP>represents an alkyl group optionally having a substituent or the like, or R<SP POS="POST">5</SP>is linked to R<SP POS="POST">4</SP>to form a divalent hydrocarbon group optionally having a substituent; and R<SP POS="POST">8</SP>represents an alkyl group. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
