[Problem] To change and easily optimize energy absorption characteristics by shifting from each other the timing at which a shaft member absorbs an impact and the timing at which another impact absorption member absorbs the impact. [Solution] A retractor device for a seatbelt comprises: a torsion bar (5) which can be twisted and deformed; a ring (19) which is disposed at a shaft end of a spool (4) and which is connected to a portion of the outer periphery of the torsion bar (5) so as to be capable of rotating together with the torsion bar (5), the portion being on the other side of the torsion bar (5) in the axial direction; a plastically deformable plate member (20) which has one end (20a) side affixed to the outer periphery of the ring (19) and the other end (20b) side serving as the free end near the inner periphery of the shaft end of the spool (4); and a protrusion (4c) which protrudes from the inner peripheral surface of the spool (4) and which is configured so that, after the torsion bar (5) starts to rotate together with the spool (4) and the impact absorption load of the torsion bar (5) becomes constant due to the torsional deformation, the protrusion (4c) makes contact with the other end (20b) of the plate member (20) and, when the spool (4) further rotates, applies a load to the plate member (20), the load elastically deforming the plate member (20). |
