This production method for a cover glass for a mobile device is a production method for a cover glass for a mobile device that includes a printing step in which the surface of a glass substrate containing an alkali metal ion is subjected to printing processing, and is characterized by: utilizing the existence of a correlation between the water (water drop) contact angle in a printing area on the surface of the glass substrate subjected to printing processing during the printing step, and the printing quality in the printed glass substrate; and performing the printing step on a glass substrate having a water contact angle that fulfills the printing quality desired in the cover glass for the mobile device.
