Device for protecting the side of a motorcycle, with a rotary head and impact absorption, which is the subject matter of the present patent, comprises a fastening screw (1) that passes through the centre of a locking and sliding bush (2) contained in the front seat of the rotary impact-receiving head (3), which in turn accommodates a roller unit formed by the first contact disc (4), the roller cage (5) and the second contact disc (6), and next there is the flexible ring (7) fitted in the support base (8); the head of the fastening screw (1) is accommodated inside the locking and sliding bush (2), which in turn is accommodated inside the rotary impact-receiving head (3). The rear part of the above-mentioned rotary impact-receiving head (3) accommodates the first contact disc (4), the roller cage (5) and the second contact disc (6), and on the face opposite the rollers of the second contact disc (6) rests one of the ends of the flexible ring (7) that is accommodated between the roller unit formed by the cage (5), the contact discs (4) and (6) thereof and the inner surface of the support base (8); the fastening screw (1), via the screw thread thereof, fastens and connects the entire assembly to any convenient part of a motorcycle, such as, for example, the sides of the engine block, the sides of the frame, the ends of the handlebars, the ends of wheel axles or locations close thereto, or, furthermore, directly onto the rear swinging arm, the dimensions of said protection device being adapted to each individual case.
