<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and structure for performing power generation with a micro small-drop hydraulic power generator allowing autonomous control of a gate controlling a water level or a water quantity by being installed in a river or a canal/drainage ditch. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a hydraulic power generator 4 including a door 2 opened and closed at least in a vertical direction, an opening and closing means 3 for opening and closing the door 2, a control means 92 for controlling the opening and closing of the door 2, and water level measurement means 5, 6, 7 for measuring a water revel near a gate 1.
