<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent composite substrate excellent in optical characteristics, and to provide a display device substrate equipped with the same. <P>SOLUTION: The transparent composite substrate has a glass cloth, a resin material containing as a main component an alicyclic epoxy resin impregnated in the glass cloth, and a stress relaxing component provided on the surface of the glass cloth and relaxing the stress generated between the glass cloth and the resin material. The stress relaxing component is preferably one containing a nonionic functional group. The nonionic functional group is preferably at least one of an epoxy group, a (meth)acryloyl group and a vinyl group, and the stress relaxing component is preferably an organosilicon compound. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
